I love my Rav4, which I bought new. And yes, I'm still paying for it 4 years later. But I plan to keep it much longer after it is paid off and will definitely save up to pay cash for my next car. Even if I buy new. Chances are I'll look for a slightly used car in the future. But for now this one works great. No point in a new one. I don't blame the dealership for using this (supposed) stimulus package as a gimmick. What I tell myself about car places is that there's a sale every day...if nothing else, the sale is me getting them to sell the car for less.
