One, the money would be great, but the separation would be real tough. In addition, we have lots of military guys over there making a whole lot less than that. I personally, I don't think I could do it. In the end you have to ask yourself what are you willing to do for money, I don't think I am willing to that long away from my family. I would rather be poor with them than rich without them. Can't they do IT from the states or even Kuwait or something, outside the hot zone? There have certainly been plenty of contractor fatalities in Iraq, but I question what sort of peril he'll be in outside the transport in/out. Has he had an opportunity to weigh these factors?
