The key to making good customer service also cost less is to systemically address customer service issues so your systems are improved. By doing so you eliminate, waste, rework, costly time dealing with problems... Not enough businesses understand this. Most of us are creatures of habit and a little hospitality and courtesy goes a long way in creating a loyal customer. When a business is rude they are not only losing me but also everyone I recommend .
