Net Worth Update May 9, 2008 [$120,697.64 (+3.55%)]

We’re looking up again this month – looks like the mutual funds are coming back a little bit this month. Both the wife and I had good 401k returns this month. The house dropped a bit, but that’s to be expected, but overall we’re looking up again.

A Day Of Readers Requests – Including Will Several New Car Loan Inquiries Hurt Your Credit Score? And Why Do You Not Disclosure Your Identity?

I haven’t done readers requests in a while because I haven’t had one good one that I think would take up an entire post. HOWEVER, I’ve had several small requests that I can wrap into one post. Inquisitive, interesting, intriguing and some even unusual…

Another good week at MIB, readership via RSS increased 13% I believe due to a few new advertising structures I’m bouncing around including Entrecard and StumbleUpon Ads. How Much Does Your Accountant Charge To Do Your Taxes? Is It Worth It? Would You Recommend Them?

This is always a hot topic, especially around this time of year. To accountant or not to accountant, that is the usual question. For some it isn’t a question, accountants cost money they don’t have, but for a LOT of people, they can get their taxes done for a lot less than they think…

Hanks Weekly Hangouts #21 (March 15, 2008)

This week has been a good week all around for MyInvestingBlog. We had close to 10,000 visitors thanks to a few viral posts, “How do I publicize my blog“, “will Brett Favre’s retirement affect the stock market“, and “a slick StumbleUpon option you may not know about“. Sold a few advertisementing spots and started up [...]

Should I Try Day Trading?

This one has popped in and out of my head for a few years now. I have a friend who has been doing it for a while now and making pretty good money off it. But I still haven’t jumped on the bandwagon. He’s done forex and penny stock investing but prefers the forex. He’s [...]
